A criminal record will haunt you for the rest of your life. A prior conviction can make it difficult to find employment, get housing, and obtain certain educational loans and professional licenses. However, it is possible to get certain criminal records thrown out or hidden from public view. I am Ernest Bauer, a Covington expungements lawyer, and I help people put their criminal past behind them. I am dedicated to helping you protect your future.

If you have been convicted of a crime and wish to expunge your record, I may be able to help. Contact me, a Louisiana criminal law attorney, online or call 504-610-5645 to schedule
a meeting to discuss your situation.

In certain cases, it may be possible to have any records associated with a past arrest and prosecution removed from public view forever. An expungement keeps jail records, police reports, prosecution reports and other court filings from ever being seen by the public.

Not every crime is eligible to be expunged. In general, if you have been convicted of a misdemeanor you must have made a pleading under the Louisiana Criminal Procedure Code Article 894. For felonies, a pleading must be made under Article 893. Article 881.1 gives the judge the authority to go back and amend any pleadings made under these articles.

As a Covington criminal defense lawyer, I will thoroughly review your case and let you know whether this may be an option for you. Call for a Consultation With a St. Tammany Parish Lawyer Who Can Help Clear Criminal Records
